Hand-Cut EVA Foam & Cork Deck Panels
Hand-Cut EVA Foam & Cork Deck Panels
Transform your deck with comfortable, non-slip panels hand-cut from EVA foam and cork to your sizes. Perfect for DIY boat owners, refit projects, campervans and outdoor areas looking for better grip and comfort underfoot.
What Are Deckfab Hand-Cut Panels?
Our hand-cut panels are made from high quality EVA foam and marine cork composite, supplied flat and ready to bond to your prepared surface.
-
Plain EVA panels are made from closed-cell marine-grade EVA, so they will not absorb water, stay light, and feel soft and cushioned under bare feet.
-
Striped EVA panels add precision caulking-style lines for a premium teak-like appearance, while keeping the same lightweight comfort and grip.
-
Cork composite plain panels use marine cork composite for a natural, warm finish that feels comfortable and grippy, with a clean, seamless look.
-
The textured surface on all options provides excellent grip, even when wet, and is kinder to knees and joints than hard GRP, timber or aluminium decks.
Every panel is hand cut from sheet to your measurements or templates, so you receive ready-to-fit pieces that match your deck area as closely as possible.
Why Choose EVA Foam or Cork Instead of Teak?
Upgrading to EVA foam or cork panels gives you a modern, practical alternative to traditional teak or bare GRP.
-
Comfort: The cushioned surface reduces fatigue in legs and back, especially on long days afloat or when standing to fish or helm.
-
Safety: Non-slip textures help maintain grip when the deck is wet, improving safety for family, pets and guests.
-
Temperature: EVA and cork stay noticeably cooler underfoot in strong sun compared with dark plastics, metal or bare GRP.
-
Weight: Panels are lightweight, helping you keep overall boat weight down compared with timber or heavy vinyl products.
-
Cost: They offer a more affordable route to a smart, finished deck than full synthetic teak systems or real teak.
-
Maintenance: Normal care is just sweeping and washing with mild cleaners; there is no oiling or scrubbing required.
These panels are ideal for small motorboats, ribs, fishing boats, cockpit soles, bathing platforms, companionway steps, and many other non-slip applications.
How to Order Hand-Cut Panels
Hand-cutting beats CNC for one-off jobs – While CNC machines deliver precision for production runs, they require time-consuming setup, programming and fixturing for a single panel or small batch. Our skilled team hand-cuts panels directly from your template or dimensions, delivering the same accurate fit much faster for one-offs or prototypes.
Ordering is straightforward
Measure and choose your material
Measure the maximum length and width of the area you want to cover and note any obvious cut-outs like hatches, drains and table bases. Decide whether you want:
Plain EVA (textured, seamless finish).
Striped EVA (with caulking-style lines for teak effect).
Cork composite plain (natural, uniform cork look).
Send us your dimensions or a template
You can order in two ways:
Supply key dimensions and a simple sketch showing shapes, radii and cut-outs.
Post us a paper or plastic template of the area, and we will hand-cut your panels to match.
We will review what you send, discuss any questions, and confirm the layout with you before cutting.
We hand-cut, pack and ship
Once approved, we cut your panels by hand using your measurements or template. Edges, corners and cut-outs are carefully trimmed so the panels sit cleanly in place when you come to fit them. Finished panels are packed flat and shipped by courier to your chosen address.
Local fitting support
Panels are supplied with a recommended adhesive or with self-adhesive backing, ready for fitting on a clean, dry and degreased surface. If you prefer professional installation, we can liaise with local yards or installers who are familiar with EVA and synthetic cork decking.
